Seller location tracking: daily route and visits to customers
Your agents are out in the city all day, and the only proof they actually visited customers is their word. pDaftar records location from the seller’s phone during working hours and in the evening shows you the route and a visits report.
How to switch it on and who gives consent
This feature works on the Distributor plan; on any other plan the setting reads “Location tracking is only available on the Distributor plan”. In the shop settings, open the “Seller locations” section and turn on “Location tracking”. Then set the “Working hours” window — only locations inside those hours are recorded; if no window is set, the “All day” mode applies.
From the list, you choose which sellers are tracked. The seller sees a “Location tracking during work hours” request in their own app, confirms it with “I agree, enable” and sets the phone’s location access to “Always”. Until consent is given, the owner sees “The seller has not consented in the app yet” next to that seller.
- Distributor plan, switched on in the shop settings
- “Working hours” window or “All day”
- Each seller chosen individually, with their own consent
The daily route on a map
The “Seller locations” screen shows each seller’s last location and when it was sent (“Just now”, “… min ago”). The “View route” button opens the “Daily route” page: the path for the selected day is drawn on the map, and below it you see “Distance”, the number of “Points”, the first and last time, and the places where the seller stopped.
Switch the day to open routes from previous days. Location outside working hours is never written to the server at all — the seller’s private time does not end up in the report.
The inferred visits report
The “Inferred visits” report compares the route with the customers’ addresses on the map. You choose the period (within the last 90 days, up to 31 days at a time), optionally a single seller, “Dwell (minutes)” from 1 to 120 and “Radius (metres)” from 10 to 500. If the seller stayed within that radius of a customer’s pin for that many minutes, it counts as a visit.
The result shows, for each seller, the number of inferred visits, the number of unique customers, the first and last observation time and the duration. The report is called “inferred” because it depends on GPS accuracy and on customers being pinned on the map — a visit to a customer with no map pin is not counted.
The customer’s address must be on the map
The visits report relies on the map pin in the customer card. The report header shows the number of “Clients with map pins” — if it is well below your total number of customers, fill in the addresses first. You pin the address on the map in the customer card once, and after that it works in every report.
If the city has many shops close to each other, set a smaller radius (say, 50 meters) — then a visit to the neighbouring customer will not be counted by mistake. On rural routes the radius can be larger.
Things to keep in mind
The report is open only to the shop owner; the seller does not see it. Some phones stop background apps to save battery — in that case the app reminds the seller to allow autostart for pDaftar in the settings and remove the battery restriction. Even if tracking is switched off, the routes and visit history recorded earlier are kept.

Frequently asked questions
Which plan includes seller location tracking?
Only the Distributor plan. On other plans the setting is visible but cannot be switched on. Details are on the pricing page.
Can I track a seller without their consent?
No. The seller gives consent in their own app and enables location access; until then no data comes from their phone.
Is location recorded outside working hours?
No. Locations outside the set working-hours window are not accepted by the server.
Can I open the visits report in the web version?
Seller location tracking is designed for the mobile app: the settings, the route map and the visits report are all viewed in the app.
