Save a customer’s address on the map and open the delivery route
If you deliver goods or go out to collect a debt, the question “where was their house again” comes up every time. pDaftar stores the location on the customer’s card: pin it on the map once, then open the route or send it to a courier whenever you need.
How to save a location
The customer’s card has a “Location” button. Tap “Pick a location” and a map opens with the pin on your current position. If you are at the customer’s place, save that point. If you are at the shop, drag the pin to the customer’s house or store and save.
The coordinates stay on the customer’s card. If the customer moves, tap “Pick a location” again and set a new point. No need to write down a street and house number and then search for them on a map — the pin shows the exact spot.
When placing the pin, zoom in until you can see the gate or the shop door. In the narrow streets of a neighborhood, a hundred meters off means ten minutes of searching for the courier. The most reliable way is to save the point on the first delivery, standing at the customer’s place — then it is taken from your current position.
Opening the route and sharing coordinates
Once a location is saved, the “Location” button opens a menu. “Open in Google Maps” builds a driving route; if you have Yandex Maps or another navigation app installed, you can open the address there as well — the app launches the matching one.
“Copy coordinates” is for a courier or a seller: paste the coordinates into a message and send them, and they open them on a map on their own phone. No more explaining the address in words.
- Google Maps — a route in driving mode
- Navigation apps — if installed, the route is built directly
- Copy coordinates — to send to a courier or a staff member
Who it is useful for
First of all, shops that deliver: water, gas cylinders, groceries, building materials. When an order comes in, you open the customer’s card and send the route to the courier. It is handy in wholesale as well: pin where the customer’s store is once, and bring goods there every time.
It helps with collecting debts too. If an overdue customer’s card has a location, you can drop by on your way. Since the address lives on the customer’s card, you never dig for it in your phone’s memory or in old chats.
- Delivery — send the route to the courier when an order comes in
- Wholesale — pin the customer’s store once and go there every time
- Debt collection — drop by an overdue customer on the way
Working with a courier and a seller
If you have a courier, the routine is simple: an order comes in, you open the customer’s card, tap “Copy coordinates” and send them to the courier in a message. They open the coordinates on a map on their phone and set off. Explaining the address over the phone, naming landmarks, calling back — none of that is needed.
If you go yourself, “Open in Google Maps” is enough: the map opens in driving mode with the route already built. On your first visit to a new customer, save the location right there — the second time you will not have to search.
Plan and platform
Customer location works on the Medium and Large plans (the app labels them “O‘rta” and “Katta”); on the free plan the button is visible, but the feature is locked. The differences between plans are listed on the pricing page. The feature is available in the mobile app — the map and navigation are needed on your phone, after all.
How to use it
- Open the customer’s card and tap “Location”.
- Tap “Pick a location” — the map opens.
- Put the pin on the customer’s house or store and save.
- Next time, tap “Location” and open the route in Google Maps or a navigation app.
- To send it to a courier, choose “Copy coordinates” and paste them into a message.
Frequently asked questions
The customer is not with me — how do I set the address?
Drag the pin on the map to the right spot. It is enough if the customer shows you where their house is, or if you know a landmark.
Does it work on the free plan?
No, location is available on the Medium and Large plans. The plans and their differences are on the pricing page.
Can I open it from a computer?
The location feature works in the mobile app. The map, navigation and coordinate sharing are what you need on a phone.
Can I change the address later?
Yes. On the customer’s card, tap “Pick a location” again and save the new point — the old one is replaced.
