Let customers see their own debt history: personal link and QR card

Arguments about debt usually come from one thing: the customer cannot see the numbers, they only hear your word. pDaftar gives each customer a personal link. Open it, and the customer sees their own debts and payments — the very same numbers you see.

What the link shows the customer

The customer’s card has a “View transaction history” link. When the customer opens it, they see their own debt and payment records and their balance, with dates. Other customers and the shop’s internal data are not visible. There is no app to install — an ordinary browser is enough.

The link is view-only. The customer cannot change a debt through it, but they can check every record by date and amount. That is why you hear “I never took that much” less often — both sides are looking at the same list.

How to send the link

The “Share” button on the customer’s card opens your phone’s share sheet: SMS, Telegram or any other messenger — whatever is convenient. The customer’s link is added to the message text automatically; there is nothing to copy by hand.

A customer connected to the Telegram bot can see their history through the bot as well. The link works for customers without the bot too — for example, you send an older customer a plain SMS, they tap the link and see the list.

When to send the link: ideally, the moment you record the first debt. The customer gets used to seeing the numbers from the start, and there is no room for arguments later. Sending it in the middle of a dispute is not too late either: the customer opens the list, and you close the conversation with numbers.

  • SMS — opens on any phone
  • Telegram or another messenger — one tap from the share sheet
  • Telegram bot — an extra route for customers connected to the bot

QR code: a client card or a keychain tag

The same link also exists as a QR code. Open the QR window on the customer’s card and print it as a PDF in the “Client card” or “Keychain” format, or download the file. The customer keeps the card in their wallet or hangs the tag on their keys — and when they come into the shop, they scan it with their phone camera and open their history.

The scanner in the shop app recognizes this QR as well: the customer shows the tag and their card opens instantly. No asking for a phone number and searching the list. For regular customers the QR becomes their “passport” in your shop.

  • Client card — a wallet-sized card
  • Keychain — a small format that hangs on a key ring
  • PDF — prints on any printer or at a print shop

The numbers are always current

The link and the QR are tied to the customer’s card, not to a separate report. If you record a payment in the web version or a seller adds a debt on a phone, the customer sees the new state the next time they open the link. No need to send it again — a link or tag handed over once keeps working for years.

This transparency helps you as well: if a seller records a debt wrongly or forgets to enter a payment, the customer is the first to notice and will tell you. Your ledger ends up being checked by the customers themselves, and you get an extra layer of control over your staff.

How to use it

  1. Open the customer from the “Clients” list.
  2. Tap “Share” and send it by SMS or Telegram — the link is added to the text by itself.
  3. If you need a QR, open the QR window on the customer’s card.
  4. Choose the “Client card” or “Keychain” format, then print the PDF or download it.
  5. The customer scans the QR with their phone camera and sees their history.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer need an app to open the link?

No. The link opens in an ordinary browser, and there is no sign-up either.

Can the customer see other customers through the link?

No. The link belongs to that customer only and shows only their debts and payments.

Can the customer edit a debt through the link?

No, the link is view-only. Debts and payments are recorded only by you or your sellers.

Where do I print the QR card?

Print the PDF on an ordinary printer, or download it and take it to a print shop — the card and keychain formats are ready to go.
