Bulk SMS to customers: one message to a chosen group at once

New stock has arrived, a promotion is starting, or at the end of the month everyone who owes you needs a reminder — texting each person one by one takes hours. With a bulk SMS mailing you pick the customers once, tap a template and the message goes to all of them. Who received it and who did not is shown in the statistics.

Who to send to: picking customers

When you tap “New mailing” on the “SMS mailings” screen, you first pick a template, then the customers. There are three quick buttons: “All”, “Debtors” and “Creditors”. You can also filter by customer folder — for example, wholesale customers only. If you work in several currencies, you choose which currency balance the selection is based on.

The number of selected customers and roughly how many SMS will be sent is shown right away. That helps you estimate the limit in advance: with a long template, each customer may cost two SMS.

Now or at a set time

You send the mailing straight away or use “Schedule at” to pick a date and time. A scheduled mailing sits in the list with the status “Scheduled” and can be canceled until its time comes. So you can prepare it in the evening and send it during business hours the next morning.

The message is not one generic text for everyone: the template is filled in separately for each customer — with their name, their balance and your shop phone. That is why a mailing still reads like a personal reminder.

Statistics and statuses

Each mailing card shows the total number of SMS, how many were delivered and how many failed. Open it and you see the status per customer: “Pending”, “Sent”, “Delivered”, “Failed” or “Inactive” — meaning the number is not in service. That is how you find customers with outdated numbers and update their cards.

The “History” tab keeps automatic reminders and mailings in one list — you see what went to which customer and when from one place. The customer card shows the SMS history for that customer only.

If something is wrong, the “Cancel” button on the mailing card stops the whole mailing; a single SMS that has not gone out yet can be canceled on its own. Next to a failed message you see the error code — if the number is wrong or disconnected, this is where you find out.

  • Total — how many SMS were scheduled
  • Delivered — reached the customer’s phone
  • Failed and Inactive — numbers you need to check again

Limit, wallet and rules

A mailing is deducted from your plan’s SMS limit. If the limit is used up and there is no money in the wallet, the app warns you and does not allow sending; top up the wallet or renew the plan and you can continue. Details are on the pricing page.

The mailing template must include the shop phone and must have passed moderation. Customers with SMS switched off or without a phone number do not receive the message.

In the web version

In the web version the “SMS mailings” page does the same job on a computer: picking customers, the template, the time and the mailing details. A computer screen is more comfortable for large lists, and the result is visible in the mobile app as well. The mailing details window shows each customer’s status and error code.

How to use it

  1. On the “SMS mailings” screen tap “New mailing”.
  2. Under “Pick a template” choose a ready template — it must have passed moderation.
  3. Under “Pick recipients” select the customers you need: “All”, “Debtors”, “Creditors” or a folder.
  4. Check the estimated number of SMS, then tap “Send” or set a time with “Schedule at”.
  5. Follow the delivered and failed SMS counts on the mailing card.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop a mailing after sending it?

A scheduled mailing can be canceled until its time comes. SMS that have already gone to the carrier cannot be recalled.

Can I write my own text for a mailing?

Yes, you create a template of the mailing type, and it is used once it passes moderation. The text must include the shop phone variable.

Can I send only to customers who owe me?

Yes, tap the “Debtors” button when picking customers — customers with a negative balance are selected.

Do mailings work on the free plan?

Yes, but they are deducted from the free plan’s limit of 25 SMS. Large mailings need a bigger plan or a wallet balance.
