SMS templates: write your own text for every customer message

What a template is and how it works

A template is a ready-made text for one type of message. The message sent when a debt is recorded, the payment confirmation, the due-date reminder and the text for a bulk mailing — each has its own template. pDaftar starts with the system templates. Once you create your own and it is approved, your text is used for that type.

The Uzbek text is required; Russian and English are optional. Creating, editing, copying into a new one and deleting — it all happens in one list.

Variables: name, amount, balance

You place variables inside the text. The “Insert variable” button adds them as chips, and at send time they are replaced with real data: customer name, debt amount, currency, customer balance, shop name and phone, due date. Drag a chip to move it, tap it to remove it.

Each template type has its own set of variables: the reminder template has the days left until the due date, the payment template has the amount paid. The shop phone variable is required in the Uzbek and Russian text — so the customer knows who the message is from and can call you back.

Moderation: why there is a wait

A newly created template first gets the status “Under review”. Once the check is done the status becomes “Ready” and messages start going out with your text. If it is turned down, the status is “Declined” — edit the text and submit it again. While the review is in progress, customers keep receiving SMS with the system template, so nothing stops.

Keep the template short and clear. While you type, the app shows how many SMS the text will use and how many characters are left — this saves your limit, because one long message is counted by the carrier as several SMS.

Where the templates live

In the mobile app: the “Templates” tab on the “SMS mailings” screen. In the web version: the “SMS templates” section on the shop page. Change a template in one place and it shows up in the other.

You do not have to start from scratch: open an existing template, choose “New from template”, and the text is copied so you only change what you need. Give the template a name — say, “Due-date reminder, short” — and you will find it quickly in the list when sending a mailing. Delete the ones you no longer need; the system templates always stay.

Templates are also used in bulk SMS mailings: pick a list of customers and send a ready template. Customers linked to the Telegram bot receive the same text through Telegram — no separate text to write for them.
