How to print receipts from your phone on a Bluetooth thermal printer

Which printers work

The app works with Bluetooth receipt printers that understand ESC/POS commands. Paper can be 58 mm or 80 mm wide — you set the width for each printer in its settings. An Android phone connects to the printer over ordinary Bluetooth. An iPhone only sees printers that support the BLE profile, so keep that in mind when choosing a printer for an iPhone.

So you do not have to guess which model will work, the app has a “Supported printers” page. It lists verified models, shows whether each one was tested on iPhone or Android, and marks it as “Works”, “Does not work” or “Untested”. The list is updated from the server, so you do not need to update the app. Check it before you buy a printer.

Connecting the printer and printing a test receipt

First, pair the printer in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Then open “Printer settings” in the Profile section of the app, pick the paired device under “Connect a new printer” and set the paper width. You can change a saved printer later under “Edit printer”. On Android 12 and newer the app asks for Bluetooth permission — grant it, otherwise the printer will not show up in the list.

Once connected, tap “Print test receipt”. The printer prints a sample receipt with a header, two product lines and a total. If it comes out right, the printer is ready. If it does not, the app tells you why: Bluetooth is off, it could not connect to the printer, or it could not send the receipt. In most cases turning the printer off and on and pairing it again solves the problem.

What is on the receipt

The receipt is printed from the delivery note page that opens when you finish a sale. It shows the document number, the date, the customer’s name and phone number, the product lines (name, quantity, price, line total), the payment method (cash, card, terminal, bank account, transfer or mixed), the customer’s previous and new balance, and the seller’s name. So the receipt is not just an amount — it is the full state of your account with that customer.

At the bottom of the receipt there is an e-delivery-note QR code. The customer scans it with their phone camera to open the electronic version of the note. If the customer uses pDaftar too, they can receive your delivery note into their own warehouse for free through that QR code — no need to retype the lines.

What to do without a printer

The delivery note page has a “Share (PDF)” button: the receipt becomes a PDF file and goes to the customer through Telegram or any other app. If you choose A4 as the paper in the “Print” dialog, the phone’s system print dialog opens and the receipt prints on an ordinary office printer. You can print the test receipt on A4 as well.

Receipt printing is available only in the mobile app. The sale itself is visible in the web version, because the database is the same: print the receipt from your phone and check the same sale on your computer.
