AI product photos: generate an image or remove the background
In the catalog your customers see, a product sits without a photo or with a dim shot taken against the counter. pDaftar fixes this in two ways: AI gives an existing photo a studio look, or, if there is no photo at all, it generates a new image from the name and description.
Two modes: enhance and generate
“Enhance with AI” works with a photo of the product you took yourself. AI removes the background and leaves the product on a clean, studio-quality backdrop. The original photo is not deleted; the enhanced copy is stored separately. If you upload a new photo, the old AI copy is removed, so an outdated image does not linger on the product card.
“Generate with AI” is for products that have no photo. AI creates the image from the product name and description, so the description is required: a precise name such as “Coca-Cola 1.5L PET” plus a short description gives a good result. If the description is empty, the app shows “Description needed” and asks you to add one first. In both modes you wait a little for the result; the process ends with an “Image generated” or “Photo enhanced” message, and the new image appears on the card right away.

A plain photo first
On the product page the “Add image” button uploads a photo from the camera or gallery. This is free and independent of the AI actions: you can simply upload a photo and leave it there. That photo is the starting point for enhancement, so shoot the product in good light with the whole item in the frame — AI cleans up the background, but it will not fill in a product that has been cut off.
The same page holds “Product info”: the name and description customers see. The name and description are used both for the generate mode and for the customer catalog, so it is worth writing them properly once.
Price and wallet
Both AI actions are paid and charged to your wallet balance. When you tap the button, the app first shows the price, your wallet balance and what will remain after the action. If the balance is not enough, the action does not start and an “Insufficient balance” message appears.
Money is deducted only when the image is successfully ready. If AI cannot produce an image, nothing is charged and the app offers to try again. Sometimes AI rejects a description — in that case, try a different one. Prices are on the pricing page.
Where the image appears
The finished image is saved on the product card and shows in the warehouse and on the sales screen. If “Visible to clients” is switched on for the product, customers who have listed you as their supplier see this product with its image in their own app. That is why image quality has a direct effect on the orders you receive.
The product page has an “AI enhancement history” section: how many attempts were made and the result of each, including the failed ones. This helps you keep an eye on wallet spending when employees are involved.
How to use it
- In the app open the product under Products → Warehouse.
- If there is a photo, tap “Enhance with AI”; if not, write a description first and choose “Generate with AI”.
- Review the price and the remaining wallet balance, then confirm.
- The finished image lands on the product card — that is where you see the result.
- If needed, switch on “Visible to clients” — the image appears in the customer catalog.
Frequently asked questions
Is AI image generation free?
No, each generation or enhancement is charged to your wallet balance. The app shows the price before you confirm; money is deducted only when the image is ready.
Will my original photo be deleted?
No. The enhanced copy is stored separately and the original stays on the product. Only when you upload a new photo is the old AI copy removed.
Why does it say “Description needed”?
The generate mode builds the image from the name and description. Without a description the result is poor, so the app asks you to add a short description first.
