How to add a seller to your shop: phone, OTP and their own login

You don’t run the shop alone, but you can’t hand your phone to every seller either. In pDaftar each seller signs in separately with their own number and password, and you see everything they record. Adding one takes a few minutes.

Who a seller is and what they see

A seller is a separate user attached to your shop. They sign in to the mobile app or the web version with their own phone number and password and see only that shop’s data. One seller works in only one shop at a time.

Every debt, payment, income and expense a seller records is saved under their name. In the seller’s profile their actions on clients, suppliers and the cash register show up separately, so you never have to dig around later to find out who recorded what, and when.

What you need to add one

The seller’s name, an Uzbek phone number and a password of at least 8 characters are enough. In the mobile app you tap “Send code” and a verification code goes to the seller’s number — it confirms the number really belongs to them. Once the code is entered, the seller is saved.

Two SMS go out the moment you save: one to you, saying that this person is now your seller, and one to the seller with their login and password. They can download the app and start work right away.

Each seller needs their own seller subscription. Without one the app won’t let you add a seller and offers to buy a subscription instead. On some plans seller seats are already included in the plan itself — the details are on the pricing page.

  • Name — this is how the seller appears in lists and reports
  • Phone number — the seller’s login; the verification code goes to this number
  • Password — you can change it yourself at any time later
  • Shop — if you have several shops, choose which one to attach the seller to

Password, moving and deleting

If a seller forgets their password, there is nothing to recover — you simply type a new one in the seller’s profile. If a seller moves to another of your branches, you move them to the new shop: this works only between shops you own, and there is no need to add them again.

When a seller leaves, you delete them. Their login is closed, their permissions in the shop are cleared and the subscription seat is freed up — you can add a new seller in that seat. Everything the seller recorded stays in the history under their name.

What permissions a new seller starts with

A new seller is added with the basic permissions needed for daily work: recording debts and payments, working with clients, adding income and expenses to the cash register. Sensitive sections — employees, stock, selling channels and SMS templates — stay closed until you turn them on. We cover the permission matrix in detail in a separate article.

The sellers page in the web version

If you prefer working on a computer, the web version puts everything in one table on the sellers page (titled “Users”): the list of sellers, adding, editing name and number, changing the password, moving to another shop and deleting. Buying a seller subscription and renewing it when it expires happens here too. The permission matrix opens from the same page, and changes are written to the same database as the mobile app.

How to use it

  1. Open the list of sellers in your shop settings and tap “Add seller”.
  2. Enter the seller’s name, phone number and password; if you have several shops, choose the shop.
  3. Tap “Send code” — a verification code goes to the seller’s number.
  4. Ask the seller for the code, enter it and save. Their login and password are sent to them by SMS.
  5. Open the seller’s profile, review the permissions and turn on extra sections if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a subscription to add a seller?

Yes, each seller needs a separate seller subscription. On some plans seller seats are included; see the terms on the pricing page.

No. A seller works in only one shop at a time. If you need them in another of your shops, you move them there.

What if a seller forgets their password?

Use “Change password” in the seller’s profile and set a new one. The seller signs in with the new password.
