Cash book balance and charts: see where your shop’s money goes
Sales seem to be going fine, yet there is nothing left at the end of the month — a familiar situation for many shop owners. The reason hides in the numbers: which category eats the most, which week expenses jumped. The pDaftar cash book shows those numbers as a summary and as charts.
Balance: today, this month and overall
At the top of the cash register screen sits this month’s total — the month’s expenses on the “Expenses” tab, the month’s income on the “Income” tab. If there is at least one entry today, a “Today” line appears as well. Tap that figure and a detail window opens: “Total income”, “Total expenses” and “Net balance”, each for today and for this month.
The balance is calculated per currency. Som and dollars never land in the same pot, so the figure is always accurate.
Summary by category
The statistics button opens the “Expenses summary” screen. Choose a period — “Daily”, “Monthly” or “All time” — and you see the total for the period, the number of entries and each category’s share as a percentage. Every category appears in its own color on the chart and in the list. In daily mode you change the date, in monthly mode the month, and compare past periods that way.
Tap a category and the list of its entries opens: this is where you find out why “Transport” came to so much. Income has exactly the same summary — you see at once which source of income is the main one. You can send the summary to a partner with the “Share” button.

The balance-over-time chart
The mobile app has a “Balance over time” chart. It draws income, expenses and balance on one timeline — by week, month or year. Week and month are shown day by day, the year month by month, so even a long period stays readable.
The three lines switch on and off separately: leave only the balance and you see how the money moved through the month. Tap a point and that day’s income, expenses and balance appear. The arrows take you to the previous week or month, and you can also pick a date by hand.
The balance line does not start from zero: the balance carried over from before the period is taken into account, so the chart does not “jump” on the first of January. Open the chart at the end of the month and you see on which days expenses overtook income — usually the days you settle up with a supplier.
In the web version
In the web version, four cards sit at the top of the cash register page: total income, total expenses, balance and the amount received by card. The statistics window shows the category chart for a day, a month and all time; there is a separate field for choosing the month. Tap a category and its entries open.
For sellers, statistics open with a separate permission. Until you grant it, a seller only adds entries and does not see the balance or the charts.
How to use it
- Open the “Cash Register” section — this month’s total and today’s amount sit at the top.
- Tap the total: total income, total expenses and net balance open.
- Tap the statistics button and choose a period: daily, monthly or all time.
- Look at the category shares and tap a category to go to its entries.
- Use the chart button to open “Balance over time” and choose week, month or year.
Frequently asked questions
How is the cash book balance calculated?
Net balance is total income minus total expenses. Separate figures are given for today and for this month, and separately for each currency.
Can I see last month’s expenses?
Yes. In the summary choose the “Monthly” period and move to the month you need; on the chart, go back to the previous month with the arrow.
Which days does the chart show?
In week and month mode every day is a separate point; in year mode, every month. The balance line continues from the balance carried over at the start of the period.
Can a seller see the statistics?
Only if they have been given the “Cash statistics” permission. Without it a seller does not see the balance or the charts.
